DJ Terms of Service

What this is

This portal is a private tool operated by Skyyber Entertainment LLC for managing DJ and talent bookings. It replaces coordinating opportunities through direct messages and texts.

Access is by invitation. Creating an account means you agree to these terms.

Your account

Your invitation link and password are yours alone. Do not share them. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to your account.

Keep your profile accurate. We use your genres, location, travel willingness, and stated preferences to decide which opportunities to send you, so out-of-date information means missed work.

Cost

Access is free. There is no subscription, and we do not ask for payment details.

Opportunities and bookings

Marking yourself interested in an opportunity does not book you. It tells us you are available and willing. Skyyber Entertainment decides who is assigned to each event, and you are only booked once we assign and confirm you.

We do not guarantee any amount of work, or any work at all. Rates, terms, and final selection for each event are decided by Skyyber Entertainment in discussion with the client.

If you accept and are confirmed for an event, we expect you to perform it. If something changes, tell us as early as you can.

Booking Liability Position

Skyyber Entertainment's role in connecting DJs with Opportunity Partners is limited to pre-event facilitation, communication, and light vetting.

Skyyber ENT helps identify a match, relays agreed booking terms accurately between the parties, and maintains roster information in good faith.

Your contact information is shared with the Opportunity Partner only after Skyyber ENT's booking fee has been received from them. This is why there may be a short window between being matched and hearing directly from the Opportunity Partner. It's the fee clearing. It's not a delay on your end.

Skyyber ENT's responsibility ends the moment contact information is released and the Opportunity Partner and DJ are connected directly.

From that point forward, the DJ operates under their own agency, and Skyyber ENT is not responsible for performance quality, conduct, payment timeliness, or on-site conditions. Since payment for your performance is a direct arrangement between you and the Opportunity Partner, you're free to set your own payment terms, such as requiring a deposit, just as you would for any independent booking.

This is explicitly not an artist-management relationship and not a label relationship: Skyyber ENT does not direct, supervise, or take a percentage of a DJ's independent bookings, and does not act as the DJ's agent or manager in any capacity beyond the specific facilitation described here.

Portal bookings (events Skyyber ENT does not produce itself)

Your stated rate on the Skyyber ENT DJ Portal is the reference figure Skyyber ENT uses when matching you to opportunities, and it represents the ceiling, not a guaranteed payment. Skyyber ENT may post opportunities below your stated rate when an Opportunity Partner's budget requires it. If you express interest in, or accept, an opportunity listed below your stated rate, you are agreeing to that opportunity's listed rate for that booking. Your stated rate on file is not affected and remains your reference figure for future matching. You are never obligated to accept a below-stated-rate opportunity.

Skyyber ENT charges the Opportunity Partner a separate booking fee (15% of your rate, or $25, whichever is greater) for matching, vetting, and portal infrastructure. This fee is paid by the Opportunity Partner on top of your rate and never reduces what you're paid. Your performance payment is made directly to you by the Opportunity Partner; Skyyber ENT does not collect, hold, or have any role in that payment.

Your contact information is shared with the opportunity partner only after Skyyber ENT's booking fee has been received. Once that happens, all performance, conduct, and payment matters for that booking are between you and the Opportunity Partner directly.

Events produced by Skyyber Entertainment

For events produced by Skyyber Entertainment, DJ compensation follows a revenue-share model rather than a fixed rate. Skyyber ENT's percentage of bar/venue revenue for the event, combined with any vendor or merchandise income generated at that event, forms a shared pot, which is split among the DJs performing that night. The specific split percentage and pot composition vary by venue and event, based on that event's individual venue deal. You will be told the specific terms for a given event, whether or not it is a split, what feeds the pot, and how it's calculated, before you accept the booking. No DJ is obligated to accept a booking without first seeing its specific terms.

Notifications

You choose how much the portal notifies you. Opportunity email is always sent, because it is how we reach you reliably.

Device notifications are optional. Switch them on from your Notifications page, and off again whenever you like - in the portal or in your device settings. There is no charge for them.

It remains your responsibility to check for opportunities and respond by the deadline. A missed notification is not a reason a booking will be held open.

Acceptable use

Do not use the portal to:

• Access anyone else's account or information
• Attempt to reach parts of the system you are not authorised to see
• Copy or extract the talent roster or contact details of other talent
• Interfere with how the portal operates

Your content

You keep ownership of your bio, photos, mixes, and links. By adding them here you allow Skyyber Entertainment to use them to present you for bookings and to describe you to Opportunity Partners considering you for work.

Ending access

You can ask us to close your account at any time by emailing skyyberent@gmail.com.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or when a working relationship ends. We will keep records of past bookings as a business record.

No warranty

The portal is provided as-is. We work to keep it available and accurate, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, Skyyber Entertainment LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the portal.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and we will tell you directly about any material change.
